Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Week 2025 is underway from 3rd to 7th February, offering a variety of events aimed at showcasing the benefits of apprenticeships for both individuals and businesses. Organised by local councils, employers, further education colleges, universities, and private training providers, the week provides numerous opportunities for engagement.

Key Events:

  • Northern Regional College Open Days: These events are designed for prospective apprentices to meet experienced staff, hear from current students, and explore industry-standard facilities. Staff will be available to offer advice on student finance, educational support, careers, and the application process. Employers from various sectors will also be present to discuss training and apprenticeship opportunities.

    • Monday, 3rd February 2025, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Open Days at Coleraine Campus (Union Street, Coleraine, BT52 1QA) and Ballymena Campuses (Farm Lodge Buildings and Trostan Avenue Building).

    • Tuesday, 4th February 2025, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Open Day at Magherafelt Campus (22 Moneymore Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6AE).

    • Wednesday, 5th February 2025, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Open Day at Newtownabbey Campus (400 Shore Road, Newtownabbey, BT37 9RS).

  • Higher Level Apprenticeship Event: Supported by Mid and East Antrim Labour Market Partnership and BringItOn, this event is tailored for those studying A Levels or Level 3 qualifications, as well as individuals currently employed who wish to upskill. Attendees can learn about higher-level apprenticeship opportunities and gain insights into advancing their careers.

    • Thursday, 6th February 2025, 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm: South Eastern Regional College, Lisburn Campus (Castle Street, Lisburn, BT27 4SU).
