Join us on Wednesday, 11th September, as we welcome Dr. Joseph Mohan from Technological University Dublin and Dr. Bronagh Millar from Queen’s University Belfast. They will share their expertise in composites and sustainable polymers and discuss how their work is driving innovation and effecting change for SMEs through various research and development initiatives.
Dr. Joseph Mohan
Dr. Joseph Mohan (BEng, MSc, PhD, MBA) is associated with the CREST Technology Gateway at Technological University Dublin. With almost 20 years in materials science, he specialises in adhesively bonded composite joints and surface treatments. His extensive academic experience, combined with industrial aptitude, has led him to secure over €3 million in research grants, ranging from €5k Innovation Vouchers to €1 million DTIF projects. These projects span failure analysis to new product development, showcasing his profound impact on the industry.
Dr. Bronagh Millar
Dr. Bronagh Millar (MEng, PhD) is a specialist in rheology and extrusion of polymers at Queen’s University Belfast. With over 20 years of experience in thermal, mechanical, rheological, and surface characterisation of a wide array of polymeric materials and products, she has provided consultancy for both local and international industries. Dr. Millar has authored over 1,000 industry reports, with current research interests focusing on sustainable polymers.
