The Consultation on the development of a Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland is now open until August 19th.

This consultation sets the key themes and proposed commitments for a new Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland: Skills for a 10x Economy. It is intended that the Strategy will formally launch in the Autumn and set the strategic direction for the development of Northern Ireland’s skills system to 2030.

The consultation period runs from the 27th May until 17.00 pm on  the 19th August 2021.

Individuals and organisations wishing to engage with the consultation should review the full version of the consultation document  (set out below) before providing responses.

The Department will also be hosting remote engagement events through the consultation period, details will be published on our website and advertised through our social media channels.

You are advised to read the Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland: Skills for a 10X Economy before proceeding with this consultation.

This consultation has been set out following the chapters and layout of the proposed strategy.

Each question will specify if you are required to provide an answer or indicate that further details are preferred depending on your previous answer.
