Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland: Skills for a 10x Economy

As you may be aware, the Minister for the Economy is currently consulting on a new Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland: ‘Skills for a 10x Economy’.  This consultation sets the key themes and proposed commitments for a new Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland.  It is intended that the Strategy will formally launch in the Autumn and set the strategic direction for the development of Northern Ireland’s skills system to 2030.

Manufacturing NI sits on the Skills Advisory Board alongside a number of public and private sector representatives and has been involved since September 2020 to shape this new strategy.  In order to prepare a response on behalf of the manufacturing sector, I would like to invite you to join a working meeting on Monday 16th August from 3pm-4.30pm (zoom link below) to help us finalise our submission with your input.  Individual responses are also encouraged. If you cannot attend the meeting and still wish to input, please send me your comments by 5pm on Friday 13th August.
