Mallaghan, a Co Tyrone-based manufacturer of ground support equipment (GSE), has secured significant deals with leading aviation companies, showcasing its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
In a major order from LSG Sky Chefs, the Edendork firm will deliver 96 high-tech catering trucks in 2025. The vehicles, featuring intelligent camera systems and anti-collision technology, aim to enhance safety and sustainability in aviation services. Greg Anderson, CEO of LSG Sky Chefs, praised the investment, emphasising its role in meeting growing industry demands while reducing environmental impact. This deal builds on a 20-year partnership, during which Mallaghan supplied 289 pieces of equipment to LSG. A fully electric catering truck is also in development to help LSG achieve its emissions targets.
Meanwhile, Mallaghan has also delivered seven TA8200 De-icers to Aer Lingus at Dublin Airport. These advanced systems, featuring enclosed basket technology and fuel-efficient heating, ensure smooth winter operations. Adrian Dunne, Aer Lingus’s Chief Operations Officer, highlighted the importance of these de-icers in maintaining service dependability during colder months.
