South West College (SWC) is offering 12 part-time training opportunities in Robotics and Automation, designed for individuals eager to build a career in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Delivered through the Assured Skills Programme, the academy provides industry-recognised qualifications and the chance to secure a job interview with leading local companies.
Running for 14 weeks, the academy combines practical training with academic learning, including ETCAL Level 2 Preparing and Using Industrial Robots and Level 2 Assembling and Testing Fluid Systems. Sessions take place at SWC’s Dungannon campus on Mondays and Wednesdays (6.00 pm – 9.00 pm) and Fridays (2.00 pm – 5.30 pm) from 6 January to 11 April 2025.
Participants will receive a £52.50 weekly training allowance, with additional support for travel and childcare costs. Applicants must be aged 18 or over by 6 January 2025 and eligible to work in the UK. Applications are welcome from those employed, unemployed, or economically inactive.
Supporting companies include industry leaders such as AIC Armagh, Mallaghan Dungannon, and Keystone Lintels Cookstown.
