Rarely have there been as many challenges and opportunities in the world of work as there are today, and young people leaving school face a world that differs dramatically from that experienced by their parents and teachers.
At Banbridge Academy and Methodist College Belfast we are committed to preparing our young people to embrace these challenges and opportunities, and to that end, are jointly arranging a careers fair this September. We want to see pupils engage with a wide range of sectors within the world of education and employment, so that they are fully informed about the routes open to them upon leaving school.
The event will take the form of an exhibition, with each organisation having its own stand within the main halls. We also plan to schedule a number of talks in other rooms throughout the two days. Our target audience is pupils taking GCSEs and A levels who are beginning to think about their future plans. There will also be an opportunity for parents and guardians to visit. We anticipate an audience of well over one thousand pupils participating over the two days of the event.

Once attendance is confirmed, further details about the logistics of the event will be forwarded.

- Banbridge Academy: arrival time is 9.30am / finish time is 4.30pm approx.
- MCB: Set-up will be available from 93.0am / finish time is approx. 4.45pm. If participating in a talk beforehand, you may be required to set up earlier.
