You are invited to the launch of DATUM, a new cross border digital transformation programme that supports manufacturing SMEs from readiness to real implementation: Assess. Plan. Transform. DATUM is delivered jointly by the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMIC) at Queen’s University Belfast and the Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) Centre. This is practical delivery, not consultancy. It is structured support backed by expert delivery.

What DATUM offers:

  • Clear pathway from assessment to implementation
  • Internationally recognised methodology (SIRI)
  • Expert partners who walk alongside businesses
  • Cross-border collaboration with shared oversight
  • Funded access that reduces financial risk for SMEs
The launch will take place on Thursday 12th February at AMIC Harbour, NIACE building, 5 Airport Road, Belfast at 9.30am.

AMIC is an open access Research and Technology Organisation led by Queen’s University Belfast, in partnership with Ulster University and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. Its mission is to grow the competitiveness of Northern Ireland’s manufacturing sector through world class innovation capability. They help companies adopt new technologies with minimal risk and turn complex innovation into practical results. IMR is headquartered in Mullingar with additional facilities in Dublin. Their focus is practical technology adoption that improves productivity, competitiveness and resilience across Irish industry.
