Mid-Ulster District Council, in partnership with NILGA and the Department for the Economy, will be hosting a Roundtable Discussion Breakfast Seminar on the Good Jobs Employment Rights Bill: The Way Forward. This session will take place on Wednesday 1 October 2025 at the Burnavon Arts & Cultural Centre in Cookstown.

Session Outline

The seminar will provide employers, stakeholders, and policymakers with an opportunity to:

  • Gain early insight into the direction of new employment rights legislation.
  • Contribute views on how proposals should work in practice, particularly within your sector.
  • Connect with peers, policymakers, and stakeholders who are shaping the Bill.

The event will be opened by Cllr Dominic Molloy, Chair of the Mid Ulster Local Economic Partnership (LEP), followed by a presentation and Q&A session with a Department for the Economy official on the Good Jobs proposals.
