Nugent Engineering is Ireland’s largest trailer and machinery manufacturer. Established in 1985, the company began by manufacturing agricultural products and selling cattle handling equipment to the Irish market. Founder Sean Nugent was responsible for designing and producing the machinery, and within five years, he had created a distribution network throughout Ireland. The product range expanded to include agricultural implements, driven by the demand for durable and robust machinery.

The family business continued to grow, diversifying into the production of commercial and livestock trailers for export markets. The Nugent family takes great pride in their agricultural heritage, maintaining the original site and fostering strong ties with the local community.
