IMC Glass

IMC Glass specialises in the design and manufacture of slim double-glazed units tailored for traditional timber frames. They are Ireland’s only fully certified manufacturer of heritage slim double glazing, branded as Slim-Glaze. The company is one of only two in the UK and Ireland to have passed both BS EN 1279 part 2 (Moisture Penetration) and part 3 (Gas Leakage) tests, certified with their own Kite-Mark license.

IMC Glass’s Slim-Glaze units optimise insulation for older buildings, allowing residents to live comfortably without relying solely on heating. Using advanced warm edge spacer technology, these units feature a smaller, more attractive spacer bar, enabling a minimal perimeter margin that fits traditional glazing rebates.

The double glazing includes a border seal of 7mm ± 1mm, with units ranging from 11mm to 16mm in thickness. Large panes up to 1m² can be manufactured using a 4mm spacer; for larger sizes, a 6mm or 8mm cavity width is recommended.

Their products have been installed in major projects across Ireland, including the ESB building restoration, Queen’s University, Ashford Castle, National Gallery of Ireland, and Dublin Castle, among others.
