Boran Mopack

Boran Packaging is Ireland’s leading manufacturer of innovative flexible packaging, with over 50 years of family ownership behind it. Founded in 1972 by Martin Boran as Modern Packaging Ltd, the company has grown from a single Naas, Co. Kildare site into a two-plant operation spanning the Republic of Ireland and the UK. In 2003, Boran acquired Mopack Systems Limited — founded in Strabane, Co. Tyrone in 1981 by Pat Blee — renaming it Boran Mopack. The two sites mirror each other’s capabilities, giving customers a built-in contingency plan and cross-border resilience.

Boran’s manufacturing capabilities span extrusion, flexographic printing, lamination and conversion across a wide range of substrates, allowing it to produce flexible packaging tailored to virtually any specification. The company continues to invest in the latest production technology through its Boran Innovation Centre (BIC) at the Naas site, and supplies some of Ireland’s best-known food brands, including Tayto, Brennans, Hunky Dorys and the Brady Family.

Sustainability now sits at the centre of Boran’s strategy, with ongoing investment aimed at reducing environmental impact across its packaging range. Still 100% family owned, Boran remains committed to developing its people, supporting the communities it operates in, and exceeding customer expectations through quality, service and innovation.
