Founded in 1984 by Plunkett McGeary in Pomeroy, Co. Tyrone, Axon Power & Control is an industry-recognised electrical engineering specialist now marking over 40 years in business, serving clients across Ireland, the UK and internationally. The company moved into purpose-built premises at Dungannon Business Park in 2018 and has grown from its early roots in the materials handling sector into a full-service electrical engineering partner.

Axon offers an in-house design team alongside control panel build, automation and software development, installation, and inspection and testing services, complemented by ongoing maintenance and breakdown support. The company is a NICEIC approved contractor and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations, as well as UL508A listing and Avetta certification, reflecting its focus on technical and safety standards.

Axon’s client base spans quarrying, concrete batching, materials handling and renewable energy, with long-standing relationships with major names including Terex, Sandvik, Tarmac, Cemex and Edge Innovate. Notable projects include the design and build of an NIE-approved substation, complete with HV and LV switchgear, at Brackagh Quarry Windfarm. With a “can do” attitude and continued investment in accreditation and capability, Axon remains focused on delivering cost-effective, technically robust electrical engineering solutions.
