Smart Manufacturing Data Hub
The Smart Manufacturing Data Hub – supporting SMEs to digitalise and unlock value from their Manufacturing Data
The Smart Manufacturing Data Hub (SMDH) supports small and medium-sized manufacturers to become more competitive by harnessing the power of data. Companies can benefit from a range of options including free monitoring tools and dashboards, learning resources, a solution directory, and financial assistance.
As a key partner on the Smart Manufacturing Data Hub program, Manufacturing NI provides support to our members to undertake free or funded projects and explore how smart digital technologies can benefit your manufacturing operations. Get in touch to find out more.

SMDH Free Energy Insights Dashboard
The Smart Manufacturing Data Hub’s suite of free Energy Insights now features three dashboards allowing manufacturers to unlock insights from their ½ hour energy data and empower them to make informed decisions, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability.
Energy Insights Dashboard
This dashboard identifies non-optimal energy usage allowing you to identify when you are using more energy than necessary so you can make decisions to effectively reduce your energy costs without impacting productivity. Half-hourly electricity meter data is broken down to identify abnormally high consumption, potentially wasteful practices, and illustrate the variation of energy used throughout the day / week / year. Click here for a video demonstration.
Carbon Reducer Tracker
Have you already implemented energy efficiency measures and are keen to understand what impact these have had on your carbon emissions, energy consumption and energy cost? The Carbon Reduction Tracker dashboard allows you to track the impact of changes you have made in your factory on the energy usage, costs, and CO2 emissions.
Energy Benchmarking Dashboard
Leverage the power of shared data by accessing insightful benchmarks that allow you to understand how you compare to your peers. Energy Benchmarking is optional, and all data shown is aggregated and anonymised.
These dashboards are available free of charge to participating manufacturers, all you need to get started is to sign up to the Smart Manufacturing Data Hub program and upload your half-hourly electricity and/or gas meter data to the portal.
