Exporting Goods
Manufacturing flourishes when it is valued and supported. Ensuring it is sets a challenge, part of which is down to Manufacturing Northern Ireland.
Brexit Checklist
Supporting your business through the complex changes ahead.
Brexit looms large for NI Manufacturers, and worryingly, when surveyed, more than a third of MNI Supporters, some 38%, said they are planning on shifting production to outside the UK by developing new facilities, making purchases or creating new partnerships inside the EU.
Manufacturing NI has been at the heart of discussions in Belfast, Dublin, London and Brussels, making sure that your voice is being heard. The costs of Brexit will be borne by our manufacturing community through managing migration, origin certification, customs cost and delays and potentially tariffs and non-tariff barriers. Our estimate is that this could total £400m per year, the equivalent of 20% of profits from the sector, unless we get a deal which works for us- we believe that Northern Ireland could be, being the bridge between the UK and the EU, which would present an extraordinary opportunity to create more wealth and work.
