Bruce Engineering was founded in 1958 by James Bruce. Initially, he was involved in the extraction and dredging of sand from Lough Neagh. After selling his share in this business he started an engineering business in Cookstown, Co Tyrone known today as Bruce Engineering Services. The company is now in its 3rd generation and is still owned and managed by the Bruce Family.
For 60 years the business has been involved in the manufacture and installation of static aggregate processing plants throughout Ireland and the UK.
Bruce Engineering is the only manufacturer in Ireland of Electromagnetic Feeders. These have been installed in various plants throughout Ireland and have also been sold to other OEMs for inclusion in their processing plants exported worldwide. We are aware of some Electromagnetic feeders still running from 1962 and of a Sand Dewatering machine installed in April 1974 still operating daily.
In 1991 Bruce were appointed the HARDOX agency for Ireland. We continue to market, sell and process HARDOX for use in our own product lines and we supply finished genuine WEARPARTS throughout Ireland.
In 2008 we rebranded the company and introduced BRUCE – Materials Processing Solutions.
