The Consumer Council is encouraging businesses to contact it to undertake a free Water Bill Health Check. This service helps business owners understand their water bill, ensures they are being billed correctly, and provides practical advice on how to save money. Over the last number of years the consumer rights body has helped local businesses save over £274,000 on their water bills.

Following Northern Ireland Water’s announcement that water and sewerage charges for businesses will rise by 6.6% (April 22), it is a good time for businesses to ensure that their water bills are accurate.
