Throughout the remainder of the day, participants can meet business advisors in up to three specialist areas for free consultations on your business needs.

Webinar | Customs Special Procedures: Explore your options

As a result of the UK leaving the EU, many local, national and international businesses have had to adapt to new import and export regulations, some of which have increased administration costs.

During this one hour webinar, experts from PwC and the Logistics Consultants will outline options which you could consider implementing to enable you to suspend, pay less or no duty on goods you import or export. You will hear about customs special procedures and customs transit procedures, learn how the procedures work, relevant terminology and how to get authorised.

Customs Special Procedures allow you to store, temporarily use, process or repair your goods and get partial or full relief from import duty, or in some cases suspension.

Customs Transit Procedure allow customs clearance formalities to take place at the point of destination rather than at the point of entry into the customs territory – meaning companies can benefit from the temporary suspension of duties, taxes and commercial policy measures that are often incurred at import.

We will explain how your business can use these procedures to reduce costs when moving goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland via the ports in the Republic of Ireland, or to import or export goods to and from continental Europe through the UK landbridge.

There will be an opportunity to ask question after the presentations.
