Belfast City Council want to make MNI supporters aware of their upcoming Transport Academy and Jobs Fair.

Registrations are now open for Belfast City Council’s new Transport Academy and training will begin next month.  They aim to support up to 140 participants to attain either a HGV Class 2 and Class 1 licence or their bus licence.  As well as giving unemployed people an opportunity to get a job, there are opportunities to upskill existing staff where they could advance their career and pay.  This may benefit, for example those who are a driver helper/warehouse operator and need a licence to upskill or manufacturing businesses that needs lorry drivers.  This is a  free opportunity.  We welcome employers that are willing to give an interview to a participant upon completion should they have jobs available.  Further details on academies www.belfastcity.gov.uk/employmentacademies

Jobs Fair

Tuesday 10 October 2023, 11am to 3pm
St George’s Market, Belfast

Belfast Labour Market Partnership is pleased to host the Belfast Jobs Fair in partnership with Belfast City Council and the Department for Communities.

The event will host a range of employers and support organisations to connect Belfast residents to employment opportunities; bringing a wide range of employers from various sectors and candidates together under the one roof.

It provides a fantastic opportunity for local employers to showcase what their businesses have to offer, reach a wide talent pool and potentially identify future recruits, at no cost.

Businesses will benefit from engaging directly with Belfast residents and networking opportunities with other professionals.

If you’re from a Belfast based business that’s currently recruiting and could benefit from exhibiting at this event, please email LMP@belfastcity.gov.uk before the deadline, Friday 8 September.

How can we help?
