There has been some press commentary about the potential for a 25% safeguarding tariff on UK origin steel arriving in to NI from GB. We have asked and received advice from HMRC which I’m sharing with you now which reminds traders of the process, clarifies the specific grades of steel involved and some actions which may be helpful for you in planning to mitigate or de-risk this problem .
