Small Companies Can Work Together With Pooled Innovation Vouchers
Invest NI are now offering small local companies the opportunity to work together under the Innovation Voucher scheme. Invest Northern Ireland’s Innovation Vouchers are designed to enable small Northern Ireland registered enterprises to access knowledge and expertise to develop innovative solutions to business issues.
The programme provides a voucher of up to £4000 to enable small enterprises to engage with one of the 41 universities, colleges and other publicly funded research organisations throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
A company may apply for up to three vouchers for different projects. A 2nd or 3rd voucher can be applied for once the previous project is completed and the voucher has been redeemed. It is only possible to have one ‘live voucher’ at a time. It is also possible for clusters of small businesses to come together and apply for a ‘pooled’ innovation voucher. A pooled application may be submitted for a group of up to 10 companies that wish to work collectively with a registered Knowledge Provider to solve a common business issue. One company must take the lead in the overall project however all participating companies much include their details in the application form.
An Invest NI Innovation Voucher can be used for a number of purposes including knowledge transfer as well as improving service delivery or researching and developing new products.
