Plug Into The Future - Electric Vehicles In Northern Ireland
Could you ‘plug into’ Northern Ireland’s exciting plans to install electric vehicle charging posts?
Electric vehicles offer a clean, green and economical alternative to petrol and diesel powered transport. Electric motoring is no longer something for the future. It is here now, and will become an increasingly common method of transport.
Northern Ireland is applying to become one of the 3-6 cities/regions in the UK to install electric charging infrastructure. The Department for Regional Development and the Department of Environment are looking for partners to support their bid through the Plugged in Places scheme to deliver infrastructure to support the roll out of electric vehicles in Northern Ireland.
Electric Cars offer many benefits, such as zero-emissions, reduced running costs of vehicles by approx. 80%, s to purchase vehicles, potential NI parking incentives, the opportunity to charge your electric vehicle by wind energy and reduced electricity tariffs.
If you would you be interested in getting involved in this exciting new project, either through providing financial support for installing charging posts, marketing or media initiatives, purchasing electric vehicles’s or for your corporate social responsibility etc., then please register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, for and on behalf of DRD and DOE.
