Mid & East Antrim Council have set up a rapid response section on their website to deal with the closure of Wrightbus,
If you are an employee affected by this, a supplier wanting more information or are impacted in any way.
Information is available on the following:
- Redunancy Clinic (The Braid, Ballymena Friday 27th September 10am-3pm)
This event will provide an opportunity to all those across the Borough who have recently been notified of *redundancy, to meet face-to-face with representatives from the Jobs & Benefits Office and the Careers Service.
A number of short talks will also be presented providing advice and guidance on a range of areas relevant to those attending.
Staff from both the Department’s Universal Credit and Improving Benefit Uptake teams will be available to provide advice and support on what financial support is available and assist the impacted staff to make a claim for benefit. The Careers Service Northern Ireland, Department for the Economy will also be attending the clinic to provide advice on initiatives available.
- Jobs Fair, The Braid, Ballymena, Tuesday 1st October, 10am-2pm
Council is working with the Department for Communities to deliver a job Fair on Tuesday 1 October from 10am until 2pm in The Braid, Ballymena. This will provide an opportunity for those affected by redundancies to attend and speak with employers that have live job opportunities and connect with a range of employability support organisations.
