Information Event: Review Of Apprenticeships Interim Report And Consultation
In January 2014, the Minister for Employment and Learning, Dr Stephen Farry MLA, announced the findings of a review of apprenticeships. The review was commissioned to ensure that apprenticeship provision in Northern Ireland is at the right level and content to meet the needs of businesses; provides opportunities for young people to progress to the very top in their chosen career path; and delivers a sufficient supply of apprentices, especially in the key sectors for the economy.
The review’s findings were published through an interim report and consultation document. The consultation is open for responses until 7 April 2014 and can be accessed by clicking the link below. DEL are hosting two information events to help promote the consultation, to encourage participation and to help shape the future of apprenticeships in Northern Ireland. The events will be held on, Tuesday 18 March 2014, from 14.30 to 16.30 at the Everglades Hotel, Londonderry and Thursday 27 March 2014 from 08.30 to 10.30 at Belfast Metropolitan College’s E3 Campus, Springfield Road, Belfast.
